- To avoid the tank hitting the back of the head, use a crotch strap. Also, lower the tank on the back by setting the cam straps at the top shoulder of the tank.
- If you dive a single tank and experience "roll" when moving side to side in the water, add a pair of Harness Weights just behind each shoulder. Harness Weights help re-distribute weight giving a diver better stability and prevent heavy weight pockets from "pulling" a diver side to side.
- When diving double tanks, a hard backplate is not necessary. Use BC2084 TransPac stabilizing plates instead. Note: The TransPac is not designed to be worn with a metal backplate. When
the TransPac first debuted on the market in 1995, cold water divers
wanted the fit of the TransPac with the added weight of a metal plate. They would sandwich a metal backplate in between the
TransPac and the wing to give them more weight to counterbalance thick
undergarments. Dive Rite developed the TransPlate in response to this
need. The TransPlate gives the same comfort and support as the
TransPac, yet allows divers to use the harness with a metal backplate.
Dive Rite BCs carry a limited lifetime warranty. Dive Rite will — at
its sole discretion — repair or replace BCs proved to be damaged by
faulty manufacture or material, at no cost, for the lifetime of the BC.
This warranty applies only to the original retail purchaser.
It
does not cover commercial or rental use, nor does it extend to units
purchased from other than an authorized Dive Rite dealer. This warranty
specifically excludes color changes, light fastness, or fading. Dive
Rite does not accept responsibility for stains or transference or
bleeding of color to other items.
All BC bladders have a limited
lifetime warranty against RF welded seam separation. No warranty exists
for bladder punctures. If we deem a BC to be beyond repair — through no
fault of the user — then, and only then, will we replace the affected
component(s).
