The RX2 is Dive Rite's most advanced lighting system utilizing an intelligent microprocessor control unit that keeps the light operating at peak efficiency. The smart controller features:

(1) Battery state-of-charge monitoring
(2) Low battery indication at turn-on
(3) Temperature monitoring for device protection
(4) OFF-HIGH-LOW selection via rotary switch

Unique in the marketplace is the RX2's dual power selector-switch that is located on the light head instead of the canister. This provides easy access to switch power modes on the fly. At full power, the RX2 has four hours burn time and eight hours at half power. However, using smart technology the RX2's microprocessor "thinks" for the diver and automatically switches from full power to half power to extend battery run-time while maintaining usable light. A key added safety feature is the battery check function. The diver can easily check battery state-of-charge by simply switching the unit on. If the unit flashes three rapid pulses, the diver knows that the battery is low before the dive.

In addition, heat-sensing technology enables the light to be used out of the water safety and reliably as the RX2 continuously monitors heat emission from the LEDs. The light will automatically reduce output preventing the LEDs from overheating, a common issue for LEDs in an enclosed fixture. This allows the diver to use the light on land post-dive at the campsite, boat dock or any land-based activity requiring illumination.

The RX2 employs four, Luxeon® Rebel™ LEDs at a system lumen rating of 880 lumens at full power. At one meter, the RX2 boasts a LUX rating greater than 11,000 lumens.

Designed for technical diving, the RX2 sports a tight 10-degree beam which is useful for signaling, yet covers enough area to illuminate the surrounding environment for better awareness as well as viewing pleasure.

The RX2 comes standard with a Goodman metal hand mount, charger and protective case. The Dive Rite RX2 is proudly designed, manufactured and assembled in the USA and is RoHS compliant to European environmental standards.
